Each year the Colorado Women's Bar Association Foundation honors women lawyers who have made a difference in our communities and have "raised the bar" for all of us.
Tamara Banks will be the emcee again and this year’s theme is “Risk Takers: Women Lawyers Who Raise the Bar by Overcoming Fear to Take on New Challenges," honoring women attorneys who have stepped outside of their comfort zone and found success in entirely new endeavors.
Emmy-Award Winner Tamara M. Banks is an acclaimed freelance journalist, inspiring speaker, and leading authority on the pursuit of Social Justice in the United States.
Tamara is also considered a thought leader on how inequality leads to genocide. She has been recognized widely for documenting the effects of political turmoil and displacement on civilians in South Sudan and Afghanistan. Her coverage in conflict zones for the BBC and Al Jazeera is an oft-requested topic for keynote and educational presentations.
